Central Metro Station

Project Description:

$955 million overall contract value to transform Sydney’s busiest station.

Rail Station Upgrade to accommodate new Metro Services. New underground Sydney Metro platforms at Central beneath platforms 13, 14 and 15, escalators directly to suburban platforms, an upgraded northern concourse with transformed pedestrian thoroughfares and feature roof and Sydney Water infrastructure upgrades in and around precinct.

Central Walk underground pedestrian concourse at Central Station that better connects passengers to trains, light rail and the new Sydney Metro underground Platforms. Including a 19-metre wide tunnel from Chalmers Street linking to a new Sydney Metro platforms under the existing Central platforms and Sydney Light Rail and Bus Interchange.

An entry at Chalmers Street that provides direct access to Central Station for customers from the Surry Hills catchment and a direct interchange for passengers from the CBD and South East Light Rail.

Mount Druitt Police Station

Project Description:

New police station featuring a Metropolitan Police Charge Facility with van loading dock, chearge dock, cells, charge room facilities and interview rooms, breath analysis and drug testing facility, CCTV and audio visual links (AVL), work spaces for task forces, detectives and visiting traffic and highway patrol and secure parking for police vehicles.

Central were contracted to provide construction services on this project.

Science and research facility, accommodating material and scientific testing, robotics and biocultural facilities including PC1, PC2 and PH1, A class 5 and class 6 clean room, advanced analytics, synthesis, phenomics, translational medicine and cell imaging.

Goulburn Base Hospital

Project Description:

A new four storey Clinical Services Building that includes main entry and hospital reception, emergency department, medical imaging department, intensive care unit, operating theatres, day surgery and recovery areas, medical, surgical, paediatric, rehabilitation and geriatric inpatient units with designated palliative care beds, maternity unit and birthing suite, ambulatory paediatric and antenatal clinics, mental health triage and emergency call service, improved distribution of and an increase in on-site car parking, an extension to the Community Health Building.

Sydney Modern Project – NSW Art Gallery

Project Description:

Two new buildings connected by a public art garden, plus contemporary art space repurposed from a decommissioned WWII oil tank, over 18,000 square metres in size and 6-star Green Star accreditation, doubling previous exhibition space with seamless connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, including courtyards, green roofs and three landscaped accessible roof terraces.

Project Description

The revitalised Walsh Bay Arts precinct is home to a prestigious group of companies: Sydney Theatre Company; Sydney Dance Company; Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Gonwana Choirs; The Song Company; Bell Shakespeare, Australian Chamber Orchestra and Austrlian Theatre of Young People.

The redevelopment includes:

Wharf 4/5
  • Refurbishment of the arts facilities and associated Shore Sheds for Sydney Theatre Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Gondwana and Song Company and new commercial retail facilities
Pier 2/3
  • The adaptive re-use of the building for new arts facilities, retaining a heritage commercial events / art space fo events such as Sydney Writers Festival, Biennale of Sydney and a wide range of commercial and artistic events.
Heritage at Walsh Bay
  • The Walsh Bay Wharves were constructed in the 1920’s and considered the ‘jewel in the crown’ of extensive harbour-side redevelopment in Sydney. They were though highly-innovative structures and subsequently catered to international shipping for many years.
